Natural Stone has an allure that you can’t easily find in any other veneer building materials. Don’t get Natural Thin Veneer mixed up with the Fake Stuff. This is the real deal.

While there are several advantages to using stone for constructing stone siding, interior walls, backsplashes, second story masonry, fireplaces, outdoor kitchens, and more, they all add to the weight of the structure. This is where thin veneer stone comes into the picture. Just as the name suggests, thin veneer stone is simply stone veneer that has been cut very thinly. What this does is it makes it very easy to install and to work with.

BBQ Grills

We cut our own Thin Veneer Stone!

BBQ Grills

We at BellStone Masonry understand the importance of providing high-quality building and construction materials. In our years of Quarrying our own materials and progressing to supply other Quarried Stone materials, we realized that the Thin Veneer Market was so new and quality control had been an issue. Other producers were inconsistent. The selection was also poor as only a few producers cut Natural Thin Stone. We decided to produce our own Thin Stone. We kept to a standard of 1.25” thick. Yes, some variance but not the standard 1”-1.5” thick that all other Thin Veneer suppliers yield. Another advantage we have is since we are a stone yard and carry various types of stone such as Chopped Oklahoma, Austin Stone, Lueders Limestone, Granbury Limestone, Millsap Sandstone, San Saba Sandstone as well as out of State stone such as Pennsylvania Blue, Colorado Red Stone, and Arizona Rose; we are able to provide a wide variety and Blends.

Thin Stone Veneer Accents - The Benefits

BBQ Grills
  • Natural Thin Stone is Real Stone that has been cut down in thickness so it can be applied like Tile. With Real Stone VS Faux Stone you have no painted concrete to fade. You don’t have to worry about hiding broken concrete edges nor do you have to worry about a kid with a crayon. With Natural Stone no problem. In addition, the Real Stone is generally less expensive in many cases.
  • Cost - Many homeowners like the appearance of natural stone, but it can be expensive in certain situations. Using Natural Thin Stone where the full thickness stone doesn’t make sense saves time, money, and also can reduce wear and tear that its heavy stone counterpart would cause issues years down the road. Interior walls, Chimneys through the roof, second story applications, backsplashes, showers, etc. are all applications where Thin Stone would be a better choice. Also, remodel situations such as over existing brick or where a concrete beam wasn’t planned.
  • Lightweight - A typical Full Dimensional stone that is 5” thick weighs 40-50 lbs per square foot. A Thin Cut Natural Thin Stone from BellStone weighs 10-15 lbs per square foot and is 1.25”. Also, when it comes to the exterior façade of your new home that’s about 5” less around the whole perimeter of your home.
  • BBQ Grills Versatility and Durability - You can choose from exterior/ interior veneer based on the setting you want to install it in. Interior veneer is used to clad fireplaces, stairways, wine cellars, bars, as well as kitchen islands. Think about the places you could put Natural Thin Stone that you couldn’t with the Full Thickness Stone. Other concepts are for Outdoor kitchens. Full thickness is heavy on any slab and it takes up a lot of cabinet space. Or a bedroom fireplace. Backsplashes and shower walls are my favorite because you install this Stone like tile.

Coronado Stone

In addition to Manufacturing our own Natural Thin Stone we do carry Coronado Stone. We might be a bit bias with our Natural Stone, but Coronado is a leading manufacturer of Faux Stone. With Faux Stone it’s probably a little easier to install and weights are consistent.

Coronado Stone also produces Barnwood in several Colors and Styles. Barnwood gives you the appearance of wood but holds up to the elements that real wood products could not.
